Victor M. Tyler Distinguished Lectureship in Engineering

 

Leo Villareal, Yale College Class of 1990, Artist; Pioneer in the use of LEDs and Computer-Driven Imagery will speak on the topic of Animating Light.

“Villareal’s visit to Yale celebrates the creation of the Yale School of Engineering & Applied Science LED Digital Canvas located in the engineering café Ground located in the Becton Engineering Center.  This installation uses the same LED lights and computer system used in many of Villareal’s projects.  Yale’s LED Digital Canvas is available for all of Yale to express thoughts using dynamic light.”
