Location: 900 West Campus Drive, West Haven, CT

This event is in the past.

President Peter Salovey formally opened the IPCH at Yale West Campus on June 19, 2015. Designed by architect Samuel Anderson working closely with Yale conservators, the Lab is a state-of-the art conservation facility shared and managed by conservators from all Yale’s collections that encourages collaboration and the exchange of ideas and techniques. The Lab is sited adjacent to the IPCH research laboratories facilitating collaborative projects with IPCH conservation scientists. Conservation projects range from ancient Roman shields to Italian panel paintings to modern kinetic light sculptures. This is a wonderful opportunity to get a peek behind the conservator’s curtain.
